Soldiers have been withdrawn from the streets of Lagos

After much pressure from the activist groups,the federal government, yesterday ordered the withdrawal of soldiers from the streets of Lagos.
The soldiers were deployed last week to prevent further protests against the removal of fuel subsidy. They have been at former rally venues and other strategic points, searching vehicles. They have however been withdrawn.
